Overview
You must exit the Sacred Tree Grounds to the south, and then find and hunt level 3 Eperes to collect Epere Horns. Once you have 8 Epere Horns, look for the small purple-flowered plants and press the action button on them to collect the Life Roots. Once you have 8 Life Roots, return to the Sacred Tree Ground and talk to Ameli to collect your reward.
